Release the Imprisoned Splendor

Release the imprisoned splendor. I love the image that brings to mind.  🙂 That line is part of this excerpt from Robert Browning’s Paracelus. It’s one of my all-time favorites and really summarizes the New Thought philosophy that I have mentioned many times. Here it is:

Truth is within ourselves; it takes no rise from outward things, whatever you may believe. There is an inmost center in us all where truth abides in fullness and around, wall upon wall, the gross flesh hems it in, this perfect, clear perception—which is truth; and to KNOW rather consists in opening out a way whence the imprisoned splendor may escape, than in effecting entry for a light supposed to be without.

Robert Browning

What do you think? Isn’t it pretty? 🙂 And I am not even much of a poetry fan.  😉
