How to Succeed in Life

Never Give Up

How to succeed in life .. that is a big question. From the time we are young, it’s drilled into us that we need to succeed in life. People start asking you “What do you want to be when you grow up?” when you’re so young that you really have no clue. Well, you think you do, but most people change their mind numerous times before they reach adulthood. What did you want to be when you were five years old? Is that what you are doing now? Yeah, that’s what I figured, but, hey, there’s nothing wrong with that. Like I said, it’s very common to have changed your mind.

So, what if you want to succeed in life and you know exactly what you want to do but you just can’t seem to make it happen? In addition to my success tips and ideas for ways to improve your life, here are some ideas to help  you succeed in life (whatever you determine success to be for you).

Figure out your why.

No matter what you do, you won’t know if you have truly managed to succeed in life if you haven’t firmly established your why. This TED Talk by Simon Sinek talks about knowing your why. Do some deep evaluation on your life. Why do you exist? What is your purpose here on earth?

Start every day with a morning routine.

Whether you call yourself a morning person or not, you can most likely benefit from a morning routine. You have a routine already even if it just consists of waking up, taking a shower, getting dressed and then drinking coffee. In his book, “The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed To Transform Your Life (Before 8AM)”, Hal Elrod challenges you to transform your life by performing six actions each morning. Learn about SAVERS and you may transform yourself and succeed in life before you know it.

Write down your accomplishments daily.

Yes, I know you’ve been told to create goals and write them down but I’m talking about writing down what you accomplished each day. You will find yourself doing things you would have procrastinated on before (but now make yourself do) so that you can write them down. Call it your To DONE list or your ACCOMPLISHED list, whatever you like. A neat tool to track your daily accomplishments and help you succeed in life is I Done This. 🙂

According to Bob Proctor (Magic in Your Mind), hard work and intelligence are not the only things necessary if you want to be successful. Your mental faculties (imagination, intuition, will, perception, memory, and reason) play a major role in whether or not you succeed in life. To bridge the gap between failing and succeeding, take advantage of all of the mental faculties. I happen to agree with Bob! 🙂

Bob’s program, Magic in Your Mind, shows you how to achieve success. Please read my Magic in Your Mind review and see what you think. I sincerely hope this article, “How to Succeed In Life” has shown you that you truly can succeed in life!
